Bird Ramble in the Adelaide Park Lands

Join guide John Gitsham, a passionate field naturalist, birdwatcher and conservationist of more than 30 years, for a 2 km 'ramble' around GS Kingston Park / Wirrarninthi (Park 23) in the Adelaide Park Lands.

Discover the nature trail that loops around various sights including a wetland, remnant revegetation plantings and a series of engaging public artwork. Birdlife is prevalent in this park as it is a quiet and removed location from the city and roads. Binoculars may be provided to attendees to assist with the event. The City of Adelaide’s Bird Booklet, an engaging and informative activity book, will also be handed out to participants.

Bookings essential. Closed toe and comfortable shoes are required for the walk. As the event is a walk through unpaved and generally natural settings of the Park Lands, the event will not be accessible for those that are mobility impaired.
